A balmy 31 Degrees out, and the surfs up.

The sun was out but it's still winter here.  Last night  (3-24-2011)  A balmy 31 degrees out, the surf is up and calling all surfers.  A couple guys were brave to go out. Why I don't know, guess they love it.
Yes!  That's Ice.

A beautiful day to be outside.

Playing with the fisheye lens.  Spring is finally arriving.  Now all we need  is a good rain to  help clean her winters mess.
Sorry, You will have to kick photo to enlarge. I haven't figured out how to work all the settings yet.

Red sky at night, sailor’s delight.

Red sky at night, sailors delight.
When we see a red sky at night, this means that the setting sun is sending its light through a high concentration of dust particles. This usually indicates high pressure and stable air coming in from the west. Basically good weather will follow.

Mother Nature is being a naughty Girl again.

After a week of 40 and 50 degree weather this was the last of the snow here on the lake.
There is still cold  in the air until the lake water warms. Our spring takes a little longer
to arrive, so Genie I will have to wait a few weeks longer to see my crocuses peak out at me.
In the Fall we have a longer season do to the warm lake water.  I took this shot friday 5-4-11
Sat 5-5-11 A storm left us 3 more inches of sleet and snow I am really hoping this was the last of the season.
Till next time ~Peace~
