End To A Colorful Day

  8/26/2010 "Sunset After Glow"   Hayley came home from school and said she had Photo homework for her Photography class. So it was a perfect opportunity  to head over to Michigan City to capture the sunset on the lake. Well you see what  I got.   We stayed for 45 minutes after sunset,  The sky only got more colorful. Michigan City Lighthouse, other buildings are the Chicago Skyline.  That's a perfect end to my colorful day. Have a good weekend.

8/26/2010     "Sunrise"  Well yesterday started and turned out to be a interesting day. As i woke at 5 am looked out my window and saw this amazing cloud form,  the colors were out of this world. I just had to hurry to shot it. Sunsets from the house come far and few between. The trees pretty much are in the way. When I see this photo I only wish I would have got out of bed and went down to the lake. It had to be and amazing sunrise.

Buckingham Fountain

The fountain is considered to be Chicago's front door, since it resides in Grant Park, the city's front yard. The fountain itself represents Lake Michigan, while each sea horse symbolizes a state bordering the lake. 

The Crown Fountain

   

    Millennium Park  I found it a great place to walk around and get a good view of the city.  One of my favorite art installation is that of the Crown Fountain, where a number of faces fade in and out of the adjoining towers, occasionally sprouting water through their mouths. Lots of kids and families come down to cool off and if anything, aside from the very cool art itself, the people watching is one in a million.

Chicago Summer

Made a visit to Chicago.  I'm trying to learn more about my camera and  it's exposures.  The cloud forms were very cool on this day.  Will post more Chicago Pics later.

Hi!

I thought I would give this blog a try. I have had a lot of fun this summer capturing some photos of local spots around me.  I just bought a Canon T2i. Learning how to set my exposures. What a difference from the Canon 300D. I wanted to post some of my favorite shots.  Well i will try to keep this updated regularly.
